Australian companies were treated to free training this month as part of a campaign to show businesses the many benefits of using Google Cloud. Cloud OnBoard visited Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland over the first two weeks of March 2019 and focused on big data and machine learning. Throughout the day, attendee’s were trained by Jasen Baker, a Google Cloud Certified instructor. The training modules included: Google Cloud fundamentals, Data Analysis on the Cloud, Scaling Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Data processing architecture. Liveli is a Google Cloud Premier Partner and exhibited at the Perth event on 7th March 2019. Strong attendance and great conversations with attendees showed that Perth businesses are ready to explore how the power of Google Cloud can take their operations to the next level. “Google Cloud offers more than just storage, this would only be scratching the surface of Cloud functionality,” said Oliver Looker, Google Products Manager at Liveli. “If you want to get started using Google Cloud, the best thing to do is to speak with a Premier Partner in your city and about your business functions so that you can find out how to leverage elements of Google Cloud such as machine learning and predictive analytics, no single Cloud solution for an organisation is ever the same,” he said. Visitors to Liveli’ booth were shown demonstrations of how fast and responsive Google Cloud applications are. Using Geoscape data of the Perth CBD, Liveli showed how BigQuery and Maps can deliver high speed solutions that show building zoning, roof type and roof area in the city. Attendee’s set their own criteria for the BigQuery map search and were delivered results within half a second. Liveli also exhibited the NGIS project completed for Decipher which uses Google Cloud, Google Earth Engine and a bespoke architecture to deliver a game changing precision agriculture innovation that transforms crop nutrition practices.
